Black powder shooting

Monthly black powder shoot.
On the third Sunday of each month. commencing 9:30am, MISC conducts a dedicated black powder and muzzleloading rifle/musket gathering.
This is an informal event where targets presented are generally metallic gongs of varying shapes and sizes shot offhand at 50m.
Firearms encouraged are caplock and flintlock muzzleloading rifles/muskets and breechloading arms loaded with black powder or black powder substitutes.
MISC endeavours to make available to members limited amounts of black powder when available.
The monthly shoot is open to members free of charge and the general shooting public at a minimal fee.
Only well maintained, serviceable firearms are permitted and MISC range officers reserve the right to inspect all firearms and ammunition components for safety purposes.
Our experienced range officers and members are available for advice and assistance for those new to this discipline or for seasoned shooters looking get the best from their firearms.
