Welcome to the McLeans Island Shooting Club (MISC)

The MISC is a rifle and shotgun shooting facility situated within the Waimakariri River Regional Park on the outskirts of Christchurch, New Zealand.

Clay target shooting facilites include a 'Down the Line' (DTL) range complimented by 'Riverside Skeet'.

The Rifle range featuring weather tight, covered shooting positions. Targets may be placed at ranges of 25, 50, 75 and 100 metres.

Public (non club members) access is every Tuesday evening from 7pm.

The Firearms Safety Code:
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction.
Rule 3: Chamber a cartridge only when ready to fire.
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt.
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store and transport firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol or drugs when handling firearms
